CABC Announces election of new
Board Members and staff
The Canadian American Business Council (CABC) has elected Alexander Russ of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), Giselle Commissiong of Ernst and Young (EY), and Lena Trudeau of ByteCubed to its Board of Directors and Blair Dickerson of Rio Tinto as Vice Chair. Additionally, the CABC has welcomed Georgia Papadopoulos to the organization as the Director of Member Experience.

Biographies of New Leadership:
Giselle Commissiong is currently Partner, and Life Sciences Advisory Leader, Canada for EY, a role she has held since 2015, working with stakeholders to help address systemic issues around sustainability, innovation, and growth. Prior to joining EY's Advisory practice in 2012, Giselle was a Senior Manager in Accenture's Management Consulting practice, focused primarily on Healthcare and Life Sciences clients in Canada and the US. She has also held performance improvement roles at both Barrick Gold Corp. and Capgemini Consulting, and spent several years in the aerospace sector in a variety of business and engineering roles with Pratt and Whitney Canada.
Blair Dickerson provides strategic leadership for Rio Tinto's businesses in Canada on national and global matters, aligning the operations and working closely with governments, regulators and other stakeholders. Blair operates at the center of the pan Canadian network of relationship development and advocacy to advance the interests of Rio Tinto's current and future investments in Canada. Before joining Rio Tinto, Blair was the Vice President of External Affairs and Communications at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council from 2008-2015.
Alex serves as the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) chief advocate on international government relations. This work includes developing and coordinating AEMs positions on U.S. and international trade and investment policy, helping companies identify and overcome legislative and regulatory barriers to growth, developing and managing relationships with senior U.S. and foreign government officials and leading AEM's Canadian advocacy efforts.
Georgia Papadopoulos is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in International Affairs and a minor of Political Science. In her current role with the CABC, Georgia is responsible for the daily operations of the organization.
Lena Trudeau is the CEO at ByteCubed, a firm dedicated to bringing the force of creativity to the power of technology. ByteCubed provides innovative technology and data science solutions to clients with critically important missions. Lena has served in leadership roles in public and private sector organizations in Canada and the United States, including the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the U.S. General Services Administration. She currently serves on the Board of the Internet Society of Canada.
