WASHINGTON D.C., JUNE 3, 2026 – The Canadian American Business Council (CABC) welcomes the Government of Canada’s decision to direct the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to review the Online Streaming framework. Cross-border investment plays a vital role in Canada’s economy, supporting jobs, production, and opportunities for Canadian creators and businesses.
The Canada-U.S. digital marketplace is deeply integrated and we encourage the CRTC to approach the review with this understanding. The CABC will continue to promote ongoing and open dialogue between Canada and the United States and looks forward to seeing new proposals from the CRTC that maintain our shared economic competitiveness.
