Washington, DC, October 17, 2022 – “The Canadian American Business Council welcomes the read-out from the North American Leaders’ meeting and appreciates the emphasis on North American Competitiveness.” said Maryscott Greenwood, CEO of the CABC. “We are also delighted that there is a breakthrough on the NEXUS impasse. We are pleased that the US and Canada have accepted a proposal that we floated late last year that would allow NEXUS interviews to be handled separately by Canadian and US authorities. The breakthrough will allow the resumption and enhancement of one of the most successful trusted traveler programs in the world.  The new agreement reaffirms that Canada and the US are well suited to confront the world’s challenges together.”
